Dr. Steve Gildersleeve is the founder and CEO of Eyes On Lincoln and team optometrist for the University of Nebraska athletics. His practice includes primary eye care, management of ocular diseases, sports vision, and fitting routine and specialty contact lenses.

He was born and raised in the small community of O’Neill Nebraska. Dr. Steve graduated from the University of Nebraska (2006), Lincoln with a degree in Biological Sciences and then went on to complete optometry school (2010) at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA where he graduated Magna Cum Laude near the top of his class.

Dr. Gildersleeve then completed a hospital-based residency in ocular disease diagnosis and management at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, NM, dealing with an extremely difficult and complex patient-base.

In his young career he has given multiple lecture hours of continued education to fellow optometrists and is already very well respected among his peers. Dr. Gildersleeve also lectures with KMK Educational Services, a company geared towards preparing 3rd year optometry students to take and pass the national boards.
